Bliss Body or
Anandamayakosha is
Defined As:
the true self,
which is more fundamental
than the personality. The
nature of this self is one of
inner directedness, bliss,
stillness and contentment.
Experience of
Anandamayakosha tends to
be temporary, and through a
process of deepening
awareness of our true nature,
we come to realize ourselves
as complete and whole in
each moment. Yoga postures
are a doorway to awareness
of this true self.
What is Bliss Body Yoga and Soap Company?
What is Yoga?
Is the science of living right. It works on all aspects of the person. It is an ancient
science of health for the physical body and balance for the mind and the emotions
that provides the foundation for the spiritual journey whose destination is self
knowledge and awareness.
The word Yoga means "unity" or "oneness" and is derived by the sanskrit word yuj
which mean to join. This unity or joining is described in spiritual terms as the union
of the individuals consciousness with the universal consciousness. On a more
practical level Yoga is a means of balancing and harmonising the body, mind and
emotions.
The science of yoga begins with work on the outermost aspects of the personality,
the physical body, which for most people is the practical and familiar starting point.
When imbalance is experienced at this level, the organs, the muscles and nerves
no longer function in harmony, rather then act in opposition to each other. Yoga
aims to bring the different bodily functions into perfect harmony so that they work for
the good of the whole body and ensure that disease does not form.

Why  Yoga Today?
Physical and mental therapy is one yoga's most important acheivements. What
makes it so powerful is the fact that it works on the wholistics principals of
harmony and unification. Yoga has succeeded as an alternative form of therapy in
diseases such as asthma, diabetes, blood pressure, arthritis, digestive disorders
and other ailments of chronic and constitutional nature where modern science has
not. Research into the effects of yogic practises on HIV is currently underway with
promising results.
For most people however, yoga is simply a means of maintaining health and
well-being in an increasingly stressful society.
